Joe Morrow is a Product Manager and Design Strategist with a technical background, a user-centered focus, and 15 years of startup, consulting, and mentoring experience. Joe been cited as a mobile industry and user-centered design expert in research published by Forrester and Internet Retailer, and his teams have launched award-winning B2B and consumer-facing web, mobile, and multi-channel products for some of the tiniest idea-stage companies and some of the largest brands in the world, including Allstate, Discover, Ford, General Motors, Google, IBM, and Walmart.
Joe is based in San Francisco, where he works for Ernst & Young. He defines and leads Product Management and User-Centered Design in an innovation team at EY. The team is designing the future of the firm’s fund services offerings, starting with a platform for intelligent auditing. Working with the EY Global Innovations team, Joe is leading early efforts to transition the global firm into a product-focused and user-first organization.
Joe is also the Founding Partner of Strategic Experience Design, a user-focused Product Management, Strategy, and Experience Design agency. He’s also a member of the Google Launchpad global mentor network, and an Expert-in-Residence at GSVlabs. Previously, he founded and led product and technology for Advocate, a social platform connecting the world’s politicians and citizens, and grew the Front-End Development service line at an international creative agency toward a successful IPO and subsequent acquisition by Accenture.
Joe studied Product Management at the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business and Computer Science at Northwestern University, where he was a proud Bonehead in the Northwestern University “Wildcat” Marching Band.
